INTAKE AIR FLOW CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake air control device capable of restraining variations in intake air flow between cylinders. SOLUTION: The device is applied to an internal combustion engine including the plurality of cylinders and then adjusts the intake air flow through cooperation control with variable control of operating angle of each intake air valve and variable control of opening of a throttle valve. It detects the variation degree of the operating angle of the intake air valve corresponding to the plurality of cylinders and then memorizes the history of the status when the detected variation degree is higher than a predetermined level. When the history is memorized (shown in a continuous line), by comparing with a case where the history is not memorized (shown in long dashed short dashed line), the device sets a large angle as operating angle lower limit VLgd in the variable control of the operating angle.
