Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit of a structure allowing reduction in width direction dimension and suitable for mounting on a motorcycle. SOLUTION: The power unit 1 consists of an engine 20, and a belt type continuous variable transmission 40 changing speed of a crank shaft projecting out of a wall 11a of the crank case 11. The belt type continuously variable transmission 40 includes a drive pulley 41 have rotary force of the crank shaft input to, a driven pulley provided in parallel with the drive pulley, and a drive belt 43 put round the drive pulley and the driven pulley and transmitting rotary force to the driven pulley. A rotary shaft (oil pump rotary shaft 91) of an oil pump 90 supplying oil to each part of the engine 20 is provided at a position offsetting form a drive pulley shaft 44 which is a support shaft of the drive pulley 41, and is driven by an oil pump drive gear G7 provided on the drive pulley shaft 44.
