Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester fiber that has excellent high color development by dyeing with cationic dye, slight heater stain in a false twisting, a few fluffs and end breakages and provides a high-quality finished yarn. SOLUTION: The cation dyeable polyester fiber comprises a polyester copolymerized with 0.1-6 mol% of a metal 5-sulfoisophthalate and 0.1-5 wt.% of a polyethylene glycol having 200-6,000 weight-average molecular weight. The cation dyeable polyester fiber is provided with 0.1-5 wt.% based on the fiber weight of a treatment agent containing ≥50 wt.% of a polyoxyalkylene copolymer and 0.05-0.3 wt.% of a metal carboxylate.
