Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide induction hardened shaft-like parts which can combine static fatigue strength with torsional fatigue strength at high levels by securing ≥1,900 MPa static torsional strength and also securing ≥550 MPa fatigue strength at 106number of times of repetition to the service life. SOLUTION: The induction hardened shaft-like parts have a prescribed chemical composition. Moreover, hardness before induction hardening is ≥240 HV and the amount of retained austenite in a heat treated region after the induction hardening is 2 to 20 vol.%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
