VESSEL HOLDING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel holding device operated by a simple and rigid drive mechanism without being obstructed by an arm and an arm shaft in transferring from a star wheel to a rotation table. SOLUTION: In the vessel holding device for holding a bottle BT conveyed from one side relative to a holding area 12a on a vessel base 12 in the holding area 12a by the arm 19 while receiving it by a receiving part 46b at the other side of the holding area 12a. The holding device is provided with the arm shaft 26 arranged so as to extend in a vertical direction at a periphery of the holding area 12a; and an arm drive mechanism 27 driving the arm shaft 26 between a first position P at a periphery of the holding area 12a and a second position Q retreated rather on the other side of the holding area 12a than it. A distal end of the arm 19 advances to one side of the holding area 12a at the first position P and retreats to the other side of the holding area 12a at the second position Q to mount the arm 19 to the arm shaft 26.
