Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body side structure capable of connecting a front fender apron to a front pillar without any damage, and efficiently transmitting an impact applied to a front side of a vehicle body from the front fender apron to the front pillar. SOLUTION: A front pillar 1 and a front fender apron 2 are connected to each other via a connection member 3 having a pillar side joining unit 6 to be welded to the front pillar 1 and an apron side joining unit 5 which is formed adjacent to the pillar side joining unit 6 and welded to the front fender apron 2, and the wall thickness of the connection member 3 is larger than that of the front pillar 1, and smaller than that of the front fender apron 2. Since the wall thickness of the connection member is larger than that of the front pillar and smaller than that of the front fender apron, the front pillar or the front fender apron is not holed when performing the welding. Further, since the pillar side joining unit and the apron side joining unit are adjacent to each other, the impact transmission path from the front fender apron to the front pillar is short, and the impact is transmitted very efficiently from the front fender apron to the front pillar.
