METHOD AND GUN FOR WELDING STUD UNDERWATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the development of unevenness in the pushing-down amount a stud and to achieve the miniaturization and improvement of workability of a welding gun for stud underwater. SOLUTION: In the welding gun for stud underwater provided with a dowel chuck 1 for fitting a stud dowel 25, a driving means for sliding the dowel chuck, a casing 6 for holding the driving means, a stud dowel holding part arranged at the front end part of the casing, a seal space forming means arranged in the stud dowel holding part and a discharging means for developing the discharge into the discharging space between the stud dowel and a material 10 to be welded; the driving means is provided with an air cylinder 2 for pushing, which is connected with the dowel chuck 1 and moving the dowel chuck forward/backward, a positional cylinder 3 for drawing up which is connected with the air cylinder for pushing and moving the air cylinder for pushing forward/backward, and an outer cylinder 5 for fixing the axis, fixed to the positional cylinder for drawing up.
