Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thawing method preventing pressure in a thawing area from accidentally increasing so as to appropriately control temperatures during thawing treatment. SOLUTION: A thawing device is provided with the following means: a steam supply means 3 supplying steam into a thawing area 2 through a steam supply valve 12; a pressure reduction means 4 reducing the pressure in the thawing area 2; a detection means 7 detecting the temperature or the pressure in the thawing area 2; and a control means 8 controlling the steam supply means 3 and the pressure reduction means 4 so as to make a detection value detected by the detection means 7 meet a set value. The control means 8 forcibly ventilates the inside of the thawing area 2 when the opening degree of the steam supply valve 12 is kept to be nearly zero for a predetermined period of time or the pressure in the thawing area 2 is kept to be a value of the set pressure + ΔP for a predetermined period of time.
