CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF EXPANSION JOINT FOR ROAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deformation of a filling material and to increase the length of expansion in an expansion joint for a road and the construction method, in which the filling material comprising aggregate and a viscoelastic binder is filled in a recessed part formed along a joint of the road. SOLUTION: The expansion joint comprises a rubber plate 11 arranged in the recessed part 3 at a distance from the end face of a paved part, fixing members for fixing front and rear ends of the rubber plate 11 to the bottom of the recessed part 3, and a filling material 15 filled in the outside of the rubber plate 11. Exposed parts of the filling material 15 and the rubber plate 11, and an exposed part of the inner surface of the recessed part 3 are bonded to one another. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
