FLAME RETARDANT SYNTHETIC FIBER, FLAME RETARDANT COMPOSITE FIBER AND UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE PRODUCT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardant synthetic fiber while maintaining a good processability, and touch and texture of an original fibrous material, imparted with a high flame retardant property, a flame retardant composite fiber and an upholstered furniture product using the same. SOLUTION: The synthetic fiber (A) contains 1-100 pts.wt. glass component preferably having a glass transition temperature of 200-700°C based on 100 pts.wt. polymer containing ≥70 wt.% acrylonitrile, preferably 80-95 wt.% acrylonitrile and 5-20 wt.% copolymerizable monomer. The flame resistant fiber composite consisting of ≥10 wt.% fiber (A) and ≤90 wt.% fiber (B) containing at least one kind of a natural fiber and/or chemical fiber and preferably containing a polyester fiber so as to become ≤40 wt.% in the flame retardant fiber composite is also provided. The upholstered furniture product using the flame retardant fiber composite has a high flame retardant property while holding a good processability, and touch and texture. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
