Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stainless steel wire for a conveyor wire mesh which is excellent in stress corrosion cracking resistance, is reduced in thermal deformation and has magnetizability and to provide a conveyor wire mesh using the stainless steel wire. SOLUTION: In this stainless steel wire material for the conveyor wire mesh, a maximum surface roughness Rmax is ≤10 μm, a mean surface roughness Ra is ≤1.0 μm, and a tensile strength TS is 500 to 1,000 N/mm2by subjecting a stainless steel wire material containing, by weight%, 0.003 to 0.05% C, 10.5 to 18.0% Cr, 0.03 to 0.04% Nb, and further, containing one or more kinds of 0.1 to 0.8% N. 0.01 to 0.5% Ti, and composed of the balance Fe and substantially inevitable impurities to cold drawing working and heat teatment.
