Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifter having a configuration capable of easily transfer a load situated in the uppermost position of piled-up loads to a pallet placed on a fork by one worker, and a method for load collection from a pile of construction panels having different specifications by using the lifter. SOLUTION: The lifter is provided with a rail 13 approximately horizontally extended from a mast 2 of the lifter or a column 11 fixed to the mast 2 toward the tip side of the fork 1, and with a lifting device 14 movably arranged along the rail 13. At a tip of a wire or a chain of the lifting device 14, a gripping tool 15 for nipping a load from the side direction is provided.
