Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire having improved durability. SOLUTION: A pneumatic radial tire comprises at least one carcass reinforcement ply 12 and a pair of bead parts 14 facing each other. Each of the bead parts has a bead core 22 and a bead apex 24. At least one carcass reinforcement ply has a carcass primary part 18 and two carcass folding parts 20. Each of the carcass folding parts extends from each end of the carcass primary part and has an end part 30. Each of the bead parts has a minimum distance DMINbetween the carcass primary part and the carcass folding part, of which the minimum distance DMINis measured vertically from a tire equator plane EP. The minimum distance DMINhas the value of 50% or more of a maximum bead core width WBmeasured vertically from the tire equator plane EP. A radial directional end part 28 of the carcass folding part extends, at each of the bead parts, in a radial direction outward of the minimum distance DMINat an angle of leaving the carcass primary part.
