BOOSTER CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a booster circuit capable of achieving power saving and performing a stable circuit operation. SOLUTION: The booster circuit comprises a reference potential circuit for outputting reference potential; a comparator for comparing the reference potential with a voltage corresponding to an output voltage; a booster means as a booster means for boosting the power source voltage and outputting it as an output voltage, controlled in an operating state and a non-operating state by the output of the comparator. The comparator comprises differential amplifying means (P8, P9) for comparing the reference potential with a voltage corresponding to the output voltage and outputting a result of comparison to the booster means; a constant current circuits (N5, N6) as constant current circuits for applying driving voltages of the differential amplifying means, for turning on the driving voltage when the booster means operates, and turning off the driving voltage when the booster means does not operate; and current circuits (P21, N21 and N22) for applying currents lower than the driving current to the differential amplifying means when the voltage booster means does not operate.
