METHOD, SYSTEM AND PROGRAM FOR MANAGING FAILURE IN MIRRORED SYSTEM (MANAGEMENT OF FAILURE IN MIRRORED SYSTEM)

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a system and a program for managing failures in a mirrored system. SOLUTION: Copy relation between a primary storage position and a secondary storage position that update to the primary storage position is copied to the secondary storage position is maintained. A failure which prevents the update to the primary storage position from being written by an application is detected. A failure message which is not provided to the application is received for the application in response to detection of the failure. Copy of the update to the primary storage position to the secondary storage position is interrupted. The failure message is provided to the application in response to interruption of the copy.
