Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit malfunctioning by a low cost without preparing a special circuit for temperature compensating. SOLUTION: A raindrop detecting apparatus has a temperature detecting means 10 or 22 for detecting an environmental temperature which surrounds a light emitting element 8 and a photoelectric converter 9. An arithmetic processing circuit 12 increases a threshold when it judges that the raising fraction of the environmental temperature is not less than a predetermined value at the time of fine judging, compares a threshold after the increase with the amount of output changes calculated based on a former output amplitude and a current output amplitude, and thereby judges a fine or a rain.
