NAVIGATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of changing the route easily and in a manner further reflecting a desire of a user. SOLUTION: The navigation device calculates an alternate route allowing arrival at a destination through each branch road when a vehicle approaches a branchable place, and acquires a plurality of pieces of information about the calculated alternate route and the route under guidance. The navigation device displays the acquired information on a display section. Specific information includes an arrival anticipated time at the destination, an anticipated travel distance, a facility icon (convenience store and gas station), and the like. Thus, when the plurality of pieces of information is displayed on the display section, the user can select a route so as to give first priority to avoiding traffic congestion, or can select a route so as to give first priority to shortening the duration.
