WATER RETENTIVE BLOCK AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water retentive block suitably used for suppressing the increase of the temperature of a road surface and a method of producing the same. SOLUTION: A forming auxiliary agent is used for improving the forming property of a mixture containing at least aggregate, cement and water and contains washed sand sludge or levigated silica sand as a active main body. A water retentive base contains ≤50 wt.% coal ash, 10-40 wt.% forming auxiliary agent of washed sand sludge or levigated silica sand and 15-25 wt.% cement. The water retentive block is obtained by forming a rubber material layer on the surface of the water retentive base.
