COVER OPENING AND CLOSING MECHANISM AND ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small cover opening and closing mechanism with a sufficient opening/closing angle and an electronic instrument equipped with the mechanism. SOLUTION: The opening and closing mechanism 211 of the cover 210 capable of opening and closing freely against a body 101 is supported by the body with turning freely within the range of the first predetermined angle from the cover-closed state and is equipped with link structures 212, 212a, 214a, 212b and 214b supporting the cover with turning freely within the range of the second predetermined angle. When the link structure turns within the range of the first predetermined angle, the structure turns integrally with the cover. In the state that the link structure is turned by the first predetermined angle from the cover-closed state, only the cover is turned within the range of the second predetermined angle. Thereby, since the cover is opened and closed by the link structure with two fulcrums, even if the link structure is made small especially in the direction of height, the cover can be opened largely without the interference with the body.
