BEADS FOR WIRE-SAW AND WIRE-SAW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide beads for a wire-saw improving service lives of the beads, while maintaining sharpness in cutting of the wire-saw, and the wire-saw. SOLUTION: The beads 14 are made by fixing super abrasive grains 28 on an outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical base metal 36 having a wire hole 26 to insert a wire 12. The outer peripheral surface of the base metal 36 is constituted of: a first outer peripheral surface 16 in a part having a first outer diameter 22 at a front end of a traveling direction of the wire-saw; a second outer peripheral surface 18 in a part having a second outer diameter 24 larger than the first outer diameter 22 on a rear side of the first outer peripheral surface 16; and a first step surface 20 for connecting a space between the first outer peripheral surface 16 and the second outer peripheral surface 18. The first outer peripheral surface 16 and the second outer peripheral surface 18 are parallel in the traveling direction of the wire-saw. The first step surface 20 is perpendicular to the outer peripheral surfaces 16 and 18. The first outer peripheral surface 16 and the second outer peripheral surface 18 have lengths which are three times as long as a grain diameter of the super abrasive grain 28 or more in the traveling direction.
