PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair having a simple structure for assisting a standing up movement of a senior person, a person with disability, or the like from his/her sitting state, and easy to handle. SOLUTION: The chair includes a chair body 9 having a seat portion 7 and a back portion 8, a base 6, a four-bar link mechanism 10 for liftably guiding the chair body 9 relative to the base 6, and an extendable actuator 70 for lifting the chair body 9. The four-bar link mechanism 10 is structured so as to freely switch the position of one pivot 14 of four pivots by a manual shift means 60. The four-bar link mechanism is switched between a parallel four-bar linkage state and a transformed linkage state, and in the transformed linkage state, the chair body 9 is tilted forward with the lift of the chair body 9.
