Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mounted display capable of preventing a display portion from hitting at glasses when the display portion travels. SOLUTION: The head-mounted display comprises a detector for detecting a display portion 6 is in no posture of hitting at glasses 12 during its advance or retreat. The detector comprises a proximity sensor 7 arranged on an extended portion 13 attached at a sphere 11 for spherical bearing installed in a holding portion 5 and a detection object 8 attached at a housing of the display portion. The detection object 8 forms a part of a cylinder, which employs the extended portion 13 in a position where the proximity sensor approaches the detection object closest as a center axis.
