VIDEO METADATA CORRECTING DEVICE AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately correct video metadata that are related to and synchronized with video images. SOLUTION: The video metadata correcting apparatus has a section specifying means for specifying a section where an error is present in the video metadata, on the basis of information relating to the video metadata inside a first video metadata storage part storing the information related to the video metadata synchronized with the video images, and also on the basis of a video feature quantities correlated to the information related to the video metadata and extracted from the video images; and a correction means for correcting the video metadata in the section on the basis of the video feature quantities or the like and storing the corrected video metadata into a second video metadata storage part. In this manner, by performing correction to the section where it is decided that an error is present in the video metadata by using the feature quantities described, only the erroneously measured part is corrected effectively, while the original measurement accuracy of a sensor for acquiring the video metadata is utilized.
