Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an ultrasonic probe having a small diameter while improving mechanical and electrical performance of a stacked type piezoelectric element. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic transducer 31 built in the ultrasonic probe 11 includes gold wires 47a, 47b for electrically connecting an internal electrode 41a with a rear surface electrode 43 and an internal electrode 41b with a front surface electrode 42. The gold wire 47a is joined by wire bonding to electrode pads 46a, 46d provided on end surfaces of the internal electrode 41a and rear surface electrode 43, and the gold wire 47b is joined by wire bonding to electrode pads 46b, 46c provided on end surfaces of the internal electrode 41b and rear surface electrode 42. The gold wires 47a, 47b are arranged so as to be spatially separated from each of the electrodes 41a, 41b, 42 and 43 on portions other than both the ends contacting the electrode pads 46a-46d.
