IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of effectively removing a bad odor and a volatile organic compound discharged to the outside of the apparatus together with paper without causing the increase of noise or power consumption caused by the upsizing of a suction means nor adversely influencing air flow in the apparatus. SOLUTION: An image reader is mounted at the upper part of a main body of the image forming apparatus, and the image forming apparatus is constituted to eject a recording medium on which an image has been formed from a recording-medium ejecting portion so as to stack it in a recording-medium stacking portion provided inside a body formed by the main body of the image forming apparatus and the image reader or provided at the upper part of the main body of the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus is equipped with a sucking/exhausting means for sucking air in a vicinity of the recording-medium ejecting portion, and exhausting the sucked air through a filter to an outside of the main body of the image forming apparatus.
