SOLUTION: The portable display device includes: a LCD panel 104; a backlight assembly 150 having a light source for supplying light to the LCD panel 104; a mold frame 116 which is included in the backlight assembly 150 and has a step unit 116a for supporting the LCD panel 104, formed therein; and a light fence 105 located in the step unit 116a and screening a part of light supplied from the light source to the LCD panel 104.
