IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which simultaneously satisfies both needs for operability enabling user's easy replacement of a toner cartridge, and the improvement of productivity of the user requiring to continue image forming operation by moving a toner cartridge to a replacing position only when a color of a toner of which the toner residual amount is a near-end state or an end state is a specific color without immediately moving a toner cartridge to a replacing position even when a near-end state or an end state of the toner residual amount in the toner cartridge is detected. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a control means for moving the toner cartridge of the specific color to the replacing position of the toner cartridge by a moving body when a toner residual amount detection means detects that the toner cartridge of the specific color has no toner substantially.
