Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston stroke end pressure measuring method and its device and an automatic transmission utilizing these measuring method and measuring device for measuring piston stroke end pressure accurately in a short time while suppressing cost required by manufacturing facility. SOLUTION: In this piston stroke end pressure measuring method for measuring piston stroke end pressure of a friction engaging element constituting the automatic transmission in an assembly condition, one side of a friction member constituting the friction engaging element is supported by a pressing condition detection means for detecting a pressing condition of the friction member, a piston constituting the friction engaging element is pressurized to press from the other side of the friction member, and a pressurizing value on the piston at the time when the pressing condition detected by the pressing condition detection means exceeds a first predetermined condition is measured as piston stroke end pressure when the pressing condition detected by the pressing condition detection means exceeds the first predetermined condition.
