Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat-bondable fiber that is suitably useful for a cushioning material having heat resistance and does not cause a trouble in a process for producing a cushioning material and a cushioning material fiber using the heat-bondable fiber. SOLUTION: The heat-bondable conjugate fiber is a conjugate fiber which comprises a polybutylene terephthalate-based copolyester and a polyethylene terephthalate-based polyester, in which the polybutylene terephthalate-based copolyester is exposed at least to a fiber surface and the melting temperature of the polybutylene terephthalate-based copolyester is 140-190°C and which is provided with a specific finishing oil.
