SLIDING QUANTITY DETECTING METHOD AND SLIDING QUANTITY DETECTING DEVICE OF MAIN ROPE FOR ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding quantity detecting method and a sliding quantity detecting device of a main rope for an elevator, capable of easily measuring a sliding quantity, without using a highly accurate apparatus. SOLUTION: The problem can be solved by measuring a difference between a lifting time travel distance value and a lowering time travel distance value as the sliding quantity of the main rope 5, after arithmetically operating the lifting time travel distance value on the basis of a lifting time pulse signal from an encoder 10 when operating a car 6 for lifting between the other optional story floors from an optional story floor, and arithmetically operating the lowering time travel distance value on the basis of a lowering time pulse signal from the encoder 10 when operating the car for lowering on the same story floor as lifting operation.
