Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water level managing device for paddy fields with which the water levels of paddy fields are managed and power consumption is reduced. SOLUTION: The water level managing device for paddy fields comprises: a water level difference calculation means 32 calculating the difference in the water levels which are measured at prescribed time intervals with a water level measurement means 12 measuring the water level of a paddy filed F; a water level increase rate calculation means 33 calculating the increase rate of the water level at the paddy field F based on the calculated water level difference measured with the water level difference calculation means 32 and the prescribed time interval; and a time calculation means 34 calculating a time interval between the first measurement and the next measurement of the water level with the water level measuring means 12 based on the increase rate of the water level calculated with the water level increase rate calculation means 33 and the difference between the water level measured with the water level measurement means 12 and a target water level. The water level is measured with the water level measurement means 12 when the time interval calculated with the time calculation means 34 is passed, and when the measured water level exceeds the target water level, a water supply control means 31 stops water supply to the paddy field.
