PACKET GENERATING METHOD, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE WITH FUNCTION THEREOF AND RECORDING MEDIUM WITH PACKET GENERATION PROGRAM RECORDED THEREON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that an address translation router is required for communication between a conventional IPv4-compatible application on PC/WC and a host connected to an IPv6 network; and a load applied to the address translation router becomes high when using the address translation router. SOLUTION: In a LAN control device connected to an IPv6 network, an IPv4/IPv6 protocol conversion control function is included in a LAN driver. When IPv4 packet data are transferred from a protocol control section and a transmission destination IPv4 address in a header is registered on an address translation table within a protocol conversion control section, the protocol conversion control section converts the packet data into a corresponding IPv6 address, creates an IPv6 header and transmits the data onto a LAN as an IPv6 packet.
