IMAGING DEVICE AND IMAGING APPARATUS LOADED THEREWITH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of enlarging a dynamic range in the true sense and thereby contributing to image quality improvement by utilizing charges more than the saturation charges of a photodiode as signal charges, and an imaging apparatus loaded with the imaging device. SOLUTION: By storing the charges more than the saturation charge of the photodiode in a storage means through a transfer means, the charges more than the saturation charges of the photodiode can be utilized as signal charges. Thus, the imaging device capable of enlarging the dynamic range in the true sense and also contributing to the image quality improvement since reset noise can be completely removed, and the imaging apparatus loaded with the imaging device are provided.
