Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide carbon materials for electrodes with high electrode packing properties, high energy density, and excellent quick charge/discharge characteristics. SOLUTION: The carbon materials for electrodes are characterized in that an average particle diameter is 2 to 35 μm; the spacing (d002) between (002) planes determined by an X-ray wide-angle diffraction method is less than 0.337 nm; a specific surface area measured by BET method is less than 18 m2/g; and a tap density is in the range of formula 1 1.2≥TD≥0.0234xAP+0.38, wherein TD is a tap density (unit g/cm3) of the carbon material and AP is an average particle diameter (unit μm) of the carbon material.
