Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device and a lens driving method with which image change is smoothly performed so that a user does not feel incompatibility and quick zooming operation is performed even when the zooming operation is performed by switching and driving two or more lenses in consecutively taking pictures and taking a still picture. SOLUTION: The lens driving device of a camera module has: a zoom lens; a focus lens; a first driving means and a second driving means for alternately driving the zoom lens and the focus lens; a detection means for detecting a kind of photography; and a control means for varying switching timing in the alternate driving of the zoom lens and the focus lens, based on the result of detection by the detection means.
