STAIR TREAD MOUNTING STRUCTURE AND STAIR TREAD MOUNTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stair tread mounting structure which facilitates the mounting of a tread on a side plate. SOLUTION: The tread 2 is mounted on the upper surface of the side plate 1 by forming a groove 7 on the upper surface of the side plate 1, forming a groove 8 on the lower surface of the tread 2, and fitting a fixture 6 into both the grooves 7, 8. The fixture 6 has folded portions 9 by folding upper, lower, right and left ends thereof, and the folded portions 9 are elastically deformable. Then the fixture 6 is inserted into the groove 7 formed on the side board 1, and the groove 8 formed at the tread 2 is fitted to the fixture 6 protruded from the side plate 1, from above. Thus the folded portion 9 of the fixture 6 is deflected to press the tip of the folded portion 9 into a groove wall, and therefore the fixture 6 is fixed to the side plate 1 and the tread 2, to thereby firmly secure the tread 2 to the side plate 1.
