Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the continuous production of a polyethylene having a broad or bimodal molecular weight distribution (MWD), especially suitable for the production of a high-molecular weight polyethylene film and having excellent ESCR property, etc. SOLUTION: The continuous production method uses three reactors connected in series. At least one reactor in the reactors is supplied with ethylene, an α-olefin, a solid catalyst and an organic aluminum compound and subjected to multi-stage polymerization reaction and mixing. The intrinsic viscosity of the ethylene polymer produced in the first reactor is 0.1-2.5, that in the second reactor is 1.0-4.5 and that in the third reactor is 2.5-8.0, and the final ethylene resin composition has intrinsic viscosity of 1.1-6.0 and a density of 0.935-0.965 g/cm3.
