Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a new resin emulsion for converting paper which is a resin emulsion used by application to base paper by a method for conversion such as an impregnating method, a coating method or a spraying method and then drying the resin emulsion and imparting excellent characteristics such as size pressing properties during conversion, strength and heat yellowing resistance to converted paper. SOLUTION: The method for producing the resin emulsion for converting paper is carried out as follows. Ethylenically unsaturated monomers containing methyl acrylate and/or ethyl acrylate (B) and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (C) having a sulfonic acid group and/or a sulfonate group as essential components are subjected to emulsion polymerization in the presence of an emulsifying agent (A).
