The planar members 1, 2 are joined as the output of the laser beam or the beam moving rate is controlled so as to prevent the arrival of the bottom part of a molten pool P produced by the heating and melting to the outer face S1 of the planar member 1 on the opposite side. As the planar member 1 on the opposite side, the one in which the outside face S1 is previously subjected to polishing almost parallel to the direction of a welding line by the laser beam R is used.
