LASER WELDED JOINT, OUTER PLATE PANEL AND CAR BODY STRUCTURE OF ROLLING STOCK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure welding quality, and to visually make welding marks not apparent. SOLUTION: Planar members 1, 2 are lapped, and, a laser beam R is continuously emitted with respect to the planar members from the outer direction of the faces while being moved, and the region to the inside of the planar member 1 on the side opposite to the planar member 2 irradiated with the laser beam R is heated and melted. The planar members 1, 2 are joined as the output of the laser beam or the beam moving rate is controlled so as to prevent the arrival of the bottom part of a molten pool P produced by the heating and melting to the outer face S1 of the planar member 1 on the opposite side. As the planar member 1 on the opposite side, the one in which the outside face S1 is previously subjected to polishing almost parallel to the direction of a welding line by the laser beam R is used.
