Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a display device for displaying the characteristics of particles emitted from a particle emitting device capable of displaying the species, amount, and directions of the emitted particles made recognizable instantaneously, comprehensibly, and visually. SOLUTION: The method for displaying the characteristics of particles emitted from a particle emitting device comprises a step of assigning a display character to be displayed in a display device out of a plurality of characters to a species of particles emitted from a particle emitting device according to the type of the particles, a step of designating a corresponding display character 20a, 20b, 20c, or 20d according to the species of the emitted particles obtained, and displaying the amount of the emitted particles obtained in terms of the size of the corresponding display character and their emission direction in terms of the flow direction of the corresponding display character respectively. The display character may be displayed in a polyhedron form by a kaleidoscope to make them complex and illusory by repeated reflections.
