Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for biologically removing phosphorous from sewage including an initial sedimentation basin, an anaerobic tank, an aerobic tank and a final sedimentation basin, or the initial sedimentation basin, the anaerobic tank, an oxygen-free tank, the aerobic tank and the final sedimentation basin. SOLUTION: This method suppresses a fluctuation in ORP value (reference value of silver/silver chloride electrode) by cleaning the electrode part of an ORP (oxidation-reduction potentiometer) located at the outlet of an anaerobic layer by air and also making the cleaning time of the electrode part of three seconds or shorter.
