SOLUTION: Whether a start key is depressed several times or depressed long in a set time is judged (SO), when judged as YES, the set value of the number of copies is regarded as '1', irrespective of the set value of the number of copies N, and also, a trial copying mode flag Fm is set (S1), when judged as NO, and also, Fm='1' is established, the set value of the number of copies is regarded as (N-1), and also, the Fm is reset (S2 and S3).
