WATERPROOFING DEVICE AND OPERATION PANEL DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent intrusion of water caused by capillary phenomenon, and to improve waterproofing characteristics of equipment. SOLUTION: This waterproofing device comprises a control board 7 having a flange 8 and receiving control equipment 5, and an operation panel 9 mounted on a front part of the control board 7. A spatial portion 13 is formed on a part of a joining portion of the operation panel 9 and the flange 8, surface tension of water is acted on a side end portion of the spatial portion on a water intruding path caused by capillary phenomenon existing on the joining portion, and the water intrusion caused by capillary phenomenon beyond the spatial portion can be prevented by stopper action by surface tension.
