Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind turbine generator allowing placement of a lightning rod near a wind turbine section to surely put the wind turbine section within a protection area even with a low lightning rod and to improve lightning protection performance. SOLUTION: The wind turbine generator comprises a top housing box 20 rotatably attached on a support steel tower section 10, a rotary blade 30 attached to the top housing box 20, the movable lightning rod 70 putting the support steel tower 10, top housing box 20 and rotary blade 30 within a protection angle, a rotary drive section 80 for moving the movable lightning rod in an circular route almost centered on the support steel tower 10, wherein the rotary drive section 80 moves the movable lightning rod 70 within a region rearward of the rotary blade, preferably to a windward side or to lightning rod positions becoming the windward side.
