Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of glass sheet excellent in bubble quality while minimizing the usage of arsenic oxide. SOLUTION: The glass sheet is manufactured by preparing a glass raw material batch containing as a clarificant an arsenic oxide at least a part of which is diarsenic pentaoxide (As2O5) and at least one kind selected from an antimony oxide, a tin oxide and a cerium oxide, melting this glass raw material batch and forming it to glass sheet. The clarificant can contain for example 0.01-0.5 pt.mass of an arsenic oxide, 0-3 pts.mass of an antimony oxide, 0-2 pts.mass of a tin oxide and 0-1 pt.mass of a cerium oxide against 100 pts.mass of the residue that is removed the clarificant from the glass raw material batch. In the clarificant, even if the total of the pts.mass of the antimony oxide, the tin oxide and the cerium oxide is larger than the pts.mass of the arsenic oxide, glass sheet having a good bubble quality can be manufactured.
