PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an electric power steering capable of restraining excessive flow of an electric current while restraining generation of abnormal sound. SOLUTION: It is possible to provide comfortable steering feeling as assist force changes in accordance with a change of a driving state of car velocity, steering resistance, etc. as a feed-back proportional gain Kp becomes comparatively large when steering speed ωx is large on this steering control device 41. Additionally, it is possible to prevent generation of the control abnormal sound as the feed-back proportional gain Kp becomes comparatively small when the steering speed ωx is small. Furthermore, a suddenly increased driving electric current is speedily damped as the feed-back proportional gain Kp becomes larger than at normal time and responsibility is improved when the driving electric current exceeds a threshold value Ik even when the steering 33 comes to be in an end pressing state and the driving electric current suddenly increases.
