SOLUTION: In this sealant coating method of the separator for the fuel cell to coat the sealant 67 the viscosity of which is lowered in a prescribed temperature range on the surroundings of at least either one of the reaction gas passage of separators 29, 31 for the fuel cell, a cooling medium passage, or a manifold, the coating starting portion of the sealant 67 in the separators 29, 31 is partially heated to the prescribed temperature range, and thereby, viscosity of the sealant 67 at the time when coating of the sealant 67 starts is lowered.
