MOLD FOR CASTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for casting where, when a casting with a symmetrical shape is cast, the generation of a foreign matter bite defect that inclusions are stuck to the central part of the casting can be prevented, further, the non-uniformization in quality between the left part of the casting and the right part of the casting is prevented, and the casting of high quality with a symmetrical shape can be obtained. SOLUTION: The mold for casting is equipped with: a product cavity part 3 with a symmetrical shape composed of a product center hollow part 3c, and a product left hollow part 3a and a product right cavity part 3b both communicating with the product center cavity part 3c; a sprue 4; a first runner 5A of connecting the outlet side of the sprue 4 and the inlet of molten metal on the bottom part side of the product left cavity part 3a; and a second runner 5B having a flow passage length almost same as that of the first runner 5A and connecting the outlet side of the sprue 4 and the inlet of molten metal on the bottom part side of the product right cavity part 3b, and the maximum cross-sectional area of either the runner 5A or the runner 5B is 1.2 to 4 times the minimum cross-section of the other runner.
