CHROMATIC ABERRATION SUPPRESSION CIRCUIT AND IMAGING APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME, AND CHROMATIC ABERRATION SUPPRESSION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of suppressing chromatic aberration occurring in an object image simply and precisely, and capable of improving image quality. SOLUTION: The image signal of the object image obtained by a lens 10 and a CCD 12 is supplied to a color blur detection circuit 36 after white balance is adjusted by a white balance adjustment circuit 26 before gamma correction. The color blur detection circuit 36 has a low-slice circuit, a high-pass filter, and a high-clip circuit; detects the edge of the highlight of a G signal for composing the image signal, and supplies it to a color blur suppression circuit 38 arranged at the poststage of a γ correction circuit 30 as a color blur detection signal. The color blur suppression circuit 38 uses a color blur detection signal for correcting color difference signals CB, CR after the gamma correction, thus suppressing the color blurs occurring at the edge of the highlight in the object image.
